The article request service is a library service designed to assist users in obtaining scholarly articles that are not readily available through the library’s subscribed databases. A journal article is a scholarly publication that appears in an academic journal. This service is FREE and available to current faculty, students, staff, and other researchers at the University of Ghana.

Users may submit a request for an article that is essential to their teaching, learning, research, or other academic activities but not accessible through the library’s available resources. Upon receiving a request, the library will explore appropriate sources and resource-sharing arrangements to obtain the article. Users should allow up to three (3) working days to receive feedback on their request.

The article request service is primarily intended for journal articles. However, users who require a book or other library resource can make a request, and favourable feedback will be given based on its availability.

This service is intended to support users in accessing scholarly information that may otherwise be difficult to obtain and to facilitate effective teaching, learning, and research.
